Intermediate Show Choir

Four major concerts per year.  Basics in musicianship stressed including vocal training and sight-reading skills.  Solo opportunities encouraged through participation in AMEA Solo and Ensemble, Regional, and All-State Festival auditions.  Student must pay AIA fee if they choose to  participate in these events

Intermediate Mixed Show Choir is a place of dancing, singing, and even acting. We may be the smallest choir but it doesn't seem like it during class. The choir consists of fifteen fun loving, enthusiastic students. We range from freshman to junior year but in choir class, the year doesn't matter to anyone. Because we are all friends and to us it doesn't matter what grade or age the others are. We love to dance and sing and have a great time - that's a lot of what show choir is about. It is the first year of intermediate but it won't be the last. Devin says "It is my favorite class of the day" and I think that's how we all feel. I hope we can carry on the intermediate mixed chorus for many years to come. I wouldn't want the choir to be any different and I think I speak for everyone when I say that. I think that with having a smaller choir, you can bond more and really get to see everyone's talent and it's just a great environment.

Chorus is not just about singing and dancing. It is also about making friends, creating memories, and just having fun. A friend in chorus is a friend for life. You don't just see them for one year; you will be seeing a lot of them for the rest of your high school career and that choir bond that you made in class stays with you. In our class, it doesn't matter if you are popular or not, everyone gets treated the same. The choir is Gus, Devin, Marcus, Phil, Dalton, Debra, Ellyn, Danielle, Janelle, Heather, Danielle W, Katie, Alexa, Regina, and Brianna. The president is Heather and we also have Danielle as a customer manager. This year in chorus we have become friends with each other and it is gong to be a fabulous year!
